PRESTONSBURG, Ky. – Sixty strokes separated the University of Pikeville women’s golf team and Midway in what amounted to a head-to-head competition at the Alice Lloyd Invitational on Tuesday at StoneCrest Golf Course.

Led by Brittany Brophy carding a two-day total of 159 strokes (84-75), the Bears cruised to a win in their first tournament of the season with a team score of 655 (334-321). Ashley Veach backed her up with a 165 (80-85) and Lauren Vice finished third with a 167 (85-82).
