Morehead State Men’s Basketball TV Schedule Continues to Grow

msutv

MOREHEAD, Ky. — The Morehead State men’s basketball program will be showcased on the new American Sports Network this season when it travels to Conference USA opponents Louisiana Tech (Nov. 21), Marshall (Nov. 26) and UAB (Dec. 4). All three games will now tip-off at 8 p.m. ET.

Affiliates for the contests have not been determined, but should be announced in the near future.

The American Sports Network, which launched in August, is owned and operated by the Sinclair Broadcast Group. SBG operates 154 local television stations, which is the largest number in the United States, and covers approximately 80 TV markets.

ASN produces college sports telecasts for a number of Division I circuits, including the Big South Conference, Colonial Athletic Association, Conference USA, Horizon League, Patriot League, Southern Conference and Western Athletic Conference.

The announcement guarantees Morehead State at least seven TV appearances in 2014-15. MSU will also play Cincinnati on Fox Sports Ohio (Nov. 19), Ohio State on the Big Ten Network (Dec. 13), Eastern Kentucky on ESPNU (Feb. 11) and Tennessee Tech on CBS Sports Network (Feb. 26).

If the Eagles advance, the Ohio Valley Conference semifinals will be shown on ESPNU and the championship on ESPN2. MSU’s last NCAA Tournament team, in 2010-11, had nine TV games.

Morehead State opens exhibition play at Johnson Arena on Nov. 5 against NAIA opponent St. Catharine (Ky.). For season ticket information, visit MSUEagles.com or call 606-783-2386.
