Prestonsburg senior quarterback Jarred Jarrell has been named Class 2A District 8 Player of the Year by the Kentucky Football Coaches Association.
Prestonsburg coach John DeRossett was also named Coach of the Year while leading the Blackcats to a 10-2 record.

Jarrell led the Blackcats with 1447 yards passing completing 110 passes on 184 attempts. Jarrell had 20 touchdown passes with only 4 interceptions.
Jarred carried the football 137 times for 714 yards and 13 touchdowns.
Defensively, Jarred had 42 tackles, 2 fumble recoveries and 2 interceptions.
