Team Records, Game Notables and Series Information

· With the win, WKU improves to 9-5 on the year with a 2-0 record in Conference USA. Charlotte moves to 6-8 and 0-2 in the league.

· WKU now leads the overall series 14-8 and is 10-1 against the 49ers in E.A. Diddle Arena.

· The Hilltoppers have begun conference play with a 2-0 record for the second-straight season after failing to do so from 2010-13.

· WKU wraps up its seven-game homestand, its longest since 1935, Saturday at 4:30 PM (CT) against No. 25 Old Dominion. The game will be televised by the American Sports Network. It will be WKU’s first conference game against a ranked opponent since 1993, and since that time WKU has spent 14 weeks in the Top 25.

Team Notes

· WKU used the starting lineup of Chris Harrison-Docks, Trency Jackson, T.J. Price, George Fant and Aleksej Rostov for the seventh-straight game and ninth time this season. The group is 7-2 on the year.

· Price (21), Fant (18), Jackson (15) and Harrison-Docks (15) scored 69 of WKU’s 74 points.

· WKU did not commit a turnover in the second half and had just four for the game, which was the fewest in a game since at least 2001-02.

· The Hilltoppers connected on 13 three-pointers and have now hit 10 or more triples in five of the past six games. WKU has hit at least nine threes in seven-straight contests.

· KEY FIRST HALF RUN: After being down 14 points with just over 11 minutes to play, Charlotte used a 14-5 run in the last 4:43 of the half to head to the locker rooms tied at 40 each. WKU was 1-of-5 during that span, as George Fant had all five points with a layup and three free throws. Expanding that out, the Hilltoppers were 2-of-12 from the field with a Chris Harrison-Docks three-pointer coming at the 7:57 mark.

· WKU made nine first-half three-point baskets, opening the contest 7-of-7 with T.J. Price and Trency Jackson having three each. The stat ties the most for season (Alice Lloyd College) and was the most against a Division I team. The Hilltoppers were 8-of-10 from three-point range before making its first basket inside the arc with a George Fant layup at 11:41.

· KEY SECOND HALF RUN: After a pair of free throws from Torin Dorn put Charlotte back up 62-61, a quick 5-0 rally thanks to a put-back from Justin Johnson and a triple by Chris Harrison-Docks allowed WKU to regain the lead at 66-62 with 3:46 to go. WKU would not relinquish the lead.

· WKU managed to win by eight points despite being outrebounded by 20, missing 11 free throws and only getting three points from the bench.

· WKU has made a three-pointer in 854-straight games dating back to March 15, 1987.

Individual Notes

· Senior guard T.J. Price poured in 21 points on 6-of-14 shooting for his seventh 20-point outing of 2014-15.

o Price has eclipsed the 20-point barrier in six-straight games against Division I opponents

o Price has scored at least 20 points in 7-of-14 games this season after hitting the mark 19 times in his first three seasons

o Price passed Courtney Lee for second all-time on WKU’s career three-point list (246) and is just two shy of breaking the all-time mark of 247 by Anthony Winchester. Price has nailed 246 triples in 107 games – it took Lee 127 games to hit 245 and Winchester 123 to hit 247.

o Price scored 10 points in the final 12 minutes to spark WKU’s second-half comeback

· Redshirt sophomore guard Chris Harrison-Docks tallied 15 points on a career-high five three-point field goals

o Two of Harrison-Docks’ five threes came in the final six minutes during the deciding stretch

o Harrison-Docks has dished out 17 assists in the last three games

o Harrison-Docks has hit multiple three-points in 26 of his 38 career games for WKU and 11-of-14 this season

· Senior forward George Fant scored 18 points and hauled down 11 rebounds for his third-straight double-double

o Fant’s streak of three-straight double-doubles is the longest of his career and marks just the second streak of consecutive double-doubles in his standout career

o Fant has scored 32 points and grabbed 23 rebounds in two C-USA games this season

o Fant’s double-double was his fourth of the season and 14th of his career

· Redshirt senior guard Trency Jackson posted 15 points on 5-of-9 shooting and dished out five assists for the fifth time this season

o Jackson scored nine of WKU’s first 12 points with three-straight triples and finished the contest 4-of-6 behind the arc
