Eastern Kentucky University took on Ohio Valley University in their only exhibition of the basketball season today. After a close first half, EKU took complete control at the beginning of the 3rd and never looked back. Final Score was EKU 81 – OVU 40.

EKU opened with a great first quarter and jumped to a 19 – 7 lead over Ohio Valley University. Jalen O’Bannon leading the way with 9 points, and 2 steals.
EKU saw that lead cut in half by halftime though. OVU outscored EKU 15 – 9 with a score of EKU 28 – OVU 22 at the end of the half.
EKU starts the 2nd half with a vengeance, comes out scoring 7 points in 70 seconds. EKU takes a commanding lead in the 3rd with a 17 – 0 run and finished the quarter 56 – 35.
EKU opens the 4th quarter on another run 15 – 0. EKU stretched the lead to 41 points to a final score of 81 – 40.
Jalen O’Bannon would be the player of the game. 19 points, 9 rebounds, 4 steals in her first game as a Colonel after sitting out last season as a transfer.
