Whitney Creech Scores 60 Points to Move into #2 on All Time Scoring List in Win over Montgomery County

If you haven’t heard of Whitney Creech you need to take notice.

This girl can play the game of basketball.

The Jenkins Lady Cavaliers guard moved into the #2 spot on the Kentucky High School Basketball scoring list as she scored 60 points to beat Montgomery County 70-45 in the Gateway Holiday Classic.

Creech now has 4,420 points as she passed McDowell’s Geri Grigsby and now only trails the 4,948 points of Ft. Thomas Highlands Jaime Walz.

Creech, a Western Kentucky signee, also grabbed 22 rebounds, had 4 assists and 2 blocks with only 5 turnovers.

WKU head coach Michelle Clark-Heard had a great quote about Creech that every coach loves to hear.

“Whitney is a self-motivated gym rat who loves to be in the gym working on her game. We may have to put her dorm room under the bleachers in Diddle. She wants to win championships.”

Every coach loves a gym rat.
