Kentucky’s Jojo Kemp, Jon Toth on Senior Bowl Watch List

LEXINGTON, Ky. – Senior running back Jojo Kemp and senior center Jon Toth were named to the Reese’s Senior Bowl watch list it was announced Tuesday.

Kemp, a native of DeLand, Florida, has been a key offensive weapon in his three seasons as a Wildcat. He has amassed 1,360 rushing yards in his career which ranks 22nd on UK’s all-time list. Last season, Kemp was second on the team in carries (98) and rushing yards (555), tying Stanley “Boom” Williams for the team lead with six TD rushes.

The two-time Southeastern Conference Academic Honor Roll member is set to graduate in May with a degree in community and leadership development.



Toth, who hails from Indianapolis, is one of four returning starters on the offensive line and is considered one of the top centers in college football for the second straight season. The 6-foot-5, 310-pound senior, will enter his final campaign having played in 36 games with 35 consecutive starts. Last season, he helped UK’s four-man running back rotation collect 1,855 yards.

Off the field, Toth is a three-time SEC academic honor roll member and is on track to graduate in December with a degree in mechanical engineering.

Toth also is on the watch list for the Rimington Trophy, given annually to the nation’s most outstanding center.

A roster of 110 players will be selected to form the North and South squad for the nation’s premier all-star game. A player not on the initial list can be added to the watch list during the season and be invited to the 2017 game. The game will take place on Saturday, Jan. 28 in Mobile, Alabama, at the Ladd-Peebles Stadium. It will be televised live on the NFL Network.
