PIKEVILLE, Ky. — Thursday’s Mid-South Conference basketball doubleheader between the University of Pikeville and Lindsey Wilson will be shown by WYMT (ThisTV 57.2) with the action scheduled to tip-off at 6:06 p.m. ET in the East Ky. Expo Center.

The women kick off the night with the men’s game to follow around 8 p.m. You can still hear the games on East Ky. Broadcasting’s ZRock 107.5 FM, while Pike TV will be on hand for the stream. Those wishing to follow along with live stats can do so through the NAIA DakStats site.

Thursday marks the first conference action for the Bears since Nov. 22 when both the men and women lost at nationally-ranked Campbellsville. Still, the UPIKE women enter the game with a 14-4 overall record and 2-3 mark in league play, while the men are 15-1 overall and 4-1 against MSC teams.

Lindsey Wilson will offer a challenge in both contests on Thursday. The Blue Raider women are ranked 21st in today’s NAIA Top-25 Poll with a 13-4 record and the men are 10-8 overall and only lost by five against top-ranked Campbellsville back in December.

UPIKE stayed put in today’s NAIA men’s basketball rankings for the third straight week, keeping its spot at No. 4. The UPIKE women gained more traction, picking up 11 voting points to come in just outside the top 25 at No. 29.

It’s been a good string of news for the UPIKE basketball programs as head men’s coach Kelly Wells was inducted into the Rowan County High School Alumni Hall of Fame on Friday for his two-time all-state playing career and senior Kenny Manigault picked up MSC Player of the Week honors on Monday. On the women’s side, head coach Joanna McNamee saw her team win its 14th game of the season on Saturday, matching last season’s win total in early January.
