Team Records and Series Notes

Kentucky improves to 10-1, while Belmont falls to 2-7.
Kentucky improves to 722-487 (61.9) all-time in 41 seasons of varsity women’s basketball and 189-89 (80.9) in the month of December.
UK has now won 18 of its last 19 games in the month of December.
Matthew Mitchell is in his eighth season as the head coach of the Wildcats. He already ranks first on UK’s all-time wins list with 180 and his winning percentage is .723 percent.
This was the fourth meeting between the programs since UK became a varsity sport in 1974-75.
Kentucky now leads the all-time series 3-1 overall, including 2-0 in Lexington.
Kentucky improves to 391-144 all-time in Memorial, including a 101-16 record under Matthew Mitchell.
UK has now won 49 straight regular-season non-conference games at Memorial Coliseum, dating back to Dec. 19, 2008.
This was UK’s ninth-straight win at home which ranks as the ninth-longest home winning streak in program history.
UK is now 88-17 all-time against teams in the current alignment of the Ohio Valley Conference, 2-0 this season.

First Half Notes

UK started with the lineup of Jennifer O’Neill, Janee Thompson, Kyvin Goodin-Rogers, Bria Goss and Alyssa Rice.
This lineup is now 2-0 and has been used in the last two games.
Senior Azia Bishop led all scorers with 10 points in the half.
Went 5-of-6 from the floor, shooting .833 percent.
Grabbed three rebounds.
UK outrebounded Belmont 22-16, including a 10-5 edge on the offensive glass.
UK went a perfect 6-of-6 from the free throw line.
Sophomore Linnae Harper led the Wildcats with six rebounds, including four offensive.
UK only had six turnovers, the lowest for any half this season.
Kentucky is 6-0 this season when leading at halftime.

Second Half Notes

UK began the second half with Makayla Epps replacing Bria Goss and Azia Bishop replacing Kyvin Goodin-Rogers from the original starting five.
With UK hold just a slight 43-38 lead, Kentucky held Belmont scoreless for 3:18 and went on a 9-2 run midway through the half to take a 12-point lead at 52-40.
Freshman Alexis Jennings scored eight of her 10 points in the second half.
UK made three 3-pointers.
UK went 15-for-35 (42.9) from the floor.

Team/Game Notes

Kentucky held Belmont to 55 points, the lowest point total for an opponent this season.
Marks the second time UK has held an opponent under the 60-point mark this season … The Cats held South Florida to 57.
Kentucky forced 21 turnovers and has now forced 20 or more in 10 of 11 games this season, including four straight.
Kentucky only had 11 turnovers, achieving its goal of 12 or less entering the game.
The 11 turnovers matched a season low for UK. The Cats also had 11 vs. Morehead on Nov. 19.

· UK outrebounded the Bruins, 40-34, marking the second straight game the Cats have won the rebounding battle.

· The Wildcats had 44 bench points, more than doubling the Bruins’ 24.

· The 44 bench points are the most since UK had 56 vs. Oklahoma on Nov. 28.

· UK went 10-of-13 from the free throw line for 76.9 percent.

· Marked the second-highest FT percentage for a single game this season.

Individual Notes

Senior Azia Bishop recorded a double-double for the fifth time in her career and third this season.
Scored 15 points, a new season high and just two off her career-high.
Collected a career-high tying 12 rebounds … Also grabbed 12 vs. Georgia Southern on Nov. 13, 2013.
Marked her ninth double-figure scoring game in her career, including fourth this season.
Hit a season-high seven field goals on a season-high 12 attempts.
Junior Janee Thompson scored 12 points on 5-of-12 shooting from the floor.
Also had two rebounds and a season-high tying four assists.
Has scored in double figures in four of the last six games and now has 32 games with double digits.
Sophomore Linnae Harper collected 12 points on 6-of-14 shooting.
Has double-figure points in 12 of her last 16 games dating back to last season.
Also had seven rebounds and two assists.
Has pulled down at least seven rebounds in three straight games.
Freshman Alexis Jennings came off the bench for eight points in the second half, totaling 10 in the game.
Marked her second straight game with double digits and third of the season.
Went a perfect 4-of-4 from the free throw stripe.
Senior Jen O’Neill moved up to No. 21 on the all-time scoring list with three points tonight.
Senior Bria Goss played just three minutes due to a left thumb injury sustained in practice earlier today.
