Booker hauls in his fourth weekly conference honor of the season
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – It seems only fitting that Kentucky’s freshman sharpshooter from long range has hauled in his third consecutive Southeastern Conference Freshman of the Week honor announced on Monday. Booker has now been honored by the league office a team-high four times this season.

Booker logged 12.0 points, 1.5 rebounds and a pair of assists per game in wins over Vanderbilt and on the road at South Carolina to help the Cats remain perfect for the season.

The Grand Rapids, Mich., native opened the week by scoring six points against the Commodores, but found other ways to contribute with an SEC career-high four assists in the game.

On the road at South Carolina, Booker led the team in scoring with 18 points on 6 of 9 shooting. He’s now led the squad in scoring on seven occasions this season.

In four true road games during his freshman campaign, Booker leads the team with an average of 14.5 points per game and is shooting 56.3 percent from the floor. Booker has knocked down a squad-best 10 of 19 3-point field goals in road contests.

The Wildcats have won eight SEC Freshman of the Week honors this season. Booker has won the award four times while Karl-Anthony Towns has been honored twice. Trey Lyles and Tyler Ulis have each been awarded the accolade once.

Kentucky will remain on the road with a date at Missouri on Thursday. The game will air live on ESPN at 9 p.m. ET.
